Someone is givong me a DVD-R and I was wondering if I can rip?

You may try aimersoft dvd ripper, I always use it to rip DVD-R to my computer hard drive, my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works really nice for me, and here is a step by step guide about how to use it

If you want a freeware, try handbrake. It's total free and converts DVD files, including protected DVD, to various video formats.Download here:

But I'd prefer using professional shareware. Freeware always has function limit, spyware something......

I use wondershare DVD ripper.It's not free, but I think it does worth the money well...stable and powerful ripping function, supports video editing and never get my pc crashed.
