Someone is interested in buying from craigslist...is this a spam?

this is the letter for a text book i put up for sale:

How are you today and how is work over there, i will be buying your item you posted here.kindly let me know the condition and the last price because i will like to tell you that i will be paying with a certified check in US dollars and as for the shipment my shipper will come for the pick up at your location upon your confirmation of receiving the payment and i dont want you to look for any other buyer.I would have love to come down for the pickup,But i do not have chanceto do that now but am satisfied with your discription of the item i will like you to give me your contact info for me to send your payment....................

It seems kind of fishy i don't think im going to trust it...

that is a scam,, stay away from it... i got the same email from when i was selling my truck for 10 grand and they offered to pay me 20k then i pay the person 5k to pick it up... you get screwed..
