Someone is tapping into my internet.

i suspect someone is tapping into my internet.

that is because i have never signed into my imeem.

and all of a sudden, its logged in but the account is not mine.

i use a normal desktop computer.

and i use a speedtouch modem.

i uses broadband.

is it possible for someone to tap into my internet ?

if yes, how can i see who is doing so ?

and how can i block the person from doing so ?

or at least put a password.

sorry. but i dunno how to see my router. can you please help ?

  1. Yes Spyware...you can't see who but you have to buy a antispyware scanner to get rid of it.


  2. Yes someone might tap from your Internet because if I want to play my PSP on Internet I mostly see a Speedtouch Modem that I could tap from but people could tap everytime from a router you just have to set a password on it.. or use a Firewall that doesn't allow outsiders =)

  3. probably a virus, get some virus protection like norton

  4. Hmm very intersesting. I dunno. All i know is someone put Firefox on my laptop b4 i dont know how it got up there.

  5. Connect your computer to your router with an ethernet cable (if not already connected this way). Go to "http://192.168.0.1". Your User ID should be the default "admin" and the password should be blank. Once you log into your router you can lock it down with a password.
