This person is trying to black mail my sister. What can she do to protect herself. He wants money but hasn't actually asked for anything yet. He just implys stuff that he claims her late husband was involved in... moving illegal things namely. He is trying to convince her that she will lose her home to the government because of it. I am not convinced that her late hubby did anything but this guy really has my sister frightened. Will she get into trouble if she goes to the cops about it and it turns out that her late hubby was into something illegal?

  1. Well this person would need to prove that she was involved in it, which would be very difficult.  She cannot get in trouble for something she did not know about, so as long as she is clueless and she can prove it, she should be fine.

  2. well..since he has already passed away [sorry to hear] i think she should report him because they can't do anything to her for what he has done in his past..

i think she has every right to turn him in and maybe even get a restraining order just to be safe..
