Last night, someone kept calling my house the whole night, starting from 11:00p.m. to 6:00 a.m. this morning it finally stopped. But the scary thing is, that they aren't all from the same caller. 2 were the same that, it was private but had a phone number. another 2 were the same, it was private but had a phone number. And 3 were out of area. I'm scared. Is it a gang that is targeting me. When i picked up the phone, for all of them, no one spoke, when i said hi, after 1 sec, they just hang up. Like you can literally hear them slam the phone down. That's what happened to all those callers. So that makes me think they are doing this together, as a group. They just kept hanging up after like 3 secs. Should i call my phone service and ask them to trace these calls? Should i call the police? What should i do? I'm scared to even sleep or go outside now.

Thanks for replies.

  1. take your phone off the hook

  2. Those out of town calls..are you sure they weren't cellphone numbers? People can have cellphones from another town or state and still use them in your town. I'd call the police just so they know in case you have to call again. They could have just picked your # out of the phone book. Have you got any enemies or people who are mad at you? Hope all is well.

  3. i think you should  definitely call da police

  4. write a screenplay, just don't use a scene with a cop calling the main character and saying "The calls... are coming from INSIDE the house!"

how the h**l would he know that, anyway?

  5. Call the phone company and report it.They can temporarily change your number if you would like or they can put a trap on your line to trace the callers. I would not be afraid because they were not threatening you. They were harassing you. It may be kids who think that its funny to annoy people with prank phone calls and not gang members. You can get the police involved after you get the information on who the callers are.

  6. Ask them what they want.Call the police if they are threatening you.

  7. If you are in the US, your phone provider may offer a service called "*57 Call Trace".  It will probably have an associated cost each time you use it, but it can be worthwhile for the peace of mind of knowing that the calls will be traced.
