Someone might be breaking into my phone line?

Ok, I don't understand this, but it's really annoying. Whenever you answer the phone you can hear a connection sound as though someone is on the internet or trying to connect to the Internet.

It can't be our computer because it is on a separate line.

Is someone breaking into our line? How do they do it? How do we stop it?

Any suggestions will be appreciated!

  1. Call your phone company and report it to them.

  2. noone is breaking into your phone line. if you hav wifi at your place then its  interference with that, if you dont have wifi then 2 cables are touching

  3. Sounds to me like somewhere there is a lose connection in a phone line.

  4. sounds like an induction trouble... either there is a ground on your phone line, or the line is unbalanced or on a split pair... call your local telephone company to come out to make the repairs...

what you described sounds like the trouble is in the back ground, and not cross talk...
