I have aphonia(I cant speak; mute)

And a few weeks ago, A lady came into my mothers cafe and asked if she could buy some of my old word books, I've kept over the years. I used to write in notepads and I've kept them, She also offered to buy some of my art. My word books aren't poetry, Just everyday conversations. And my art looks like something you'd see on an obscure band's cd. She offered me quite a bit, For just any of the books, And alittle more for some of the art. She really never explained why though. I really don't know what to think about this. I believe she is a teacher at a college here, And I can't possibly reason why she would want any of the books/art. And she offered around 400$ for just one of the pictures. Should I except some of her offers or should I be freaked out?

  1. That is a tuffy. Maybe you should copyright your work. Unless you feel it's going to a good cause, give it up. Maybe you should befriend her again and get the real scoop.

  2. If you like to remember things like conversations that you had in the past with family and friends, don't sell her your books. And for the art... if you hope to become an artist someday like me, then don't sell them, you shouldn't be freaked out though I would kind of be if that happened to me, but then again I worry over lot's of things. It's your choice.

  3. Do you have any lawsuits pending? Even back a few years?  I don't blame you a bit for feeling uneasy. Contact her employer if she's at a school. Ask her directly even. Whatever the results, I wish you the best. PS, You may even want her to sign a statement as to why she wants them. Always cover your butt. Especially in these days of uncertainty.
