I think you mean DVI not VGI !

well DVI stands for (D)igital (V)ideo (I)nterface.

DVI is a popular form of video interface technology made to maximize the quality of flat panel LCD monitors and modern video graphics cards.  between the 2 both would do the job, it might be a different in what are you going to connect to both would work but depend on what are you gonna use it for it will take more advantage on use one over the other  home entertainment world you are better with dvi because it can be easly convert to HDMI in computer of course VGA.
