Someone please explain this to me? Surface area?? <3 ?

Question

Find the ratio of surface area to volume for a cube with a volume of 64 cubic inches.

Find the ratio of surface area to volume for a cube with a volume of 100 cubic inches.

Can someone please explain these to me? Thank you.

volume is height x width x length so...

a cube has all equal lengths hieths and width there fore

(?)*(?)*(?)=64          ?=4

then surface ares is legth times width times number of sides

4*4*(6 sides)=96  

the ratio would be 96:64   or   6:4

the next is the same except the sides all equal the cube root of 100   it doesnt work out nicely but i think u may know cube roots
