My cats ear stinks.i looked for a sore but i didnt see one.its been like this for a while but we dont have the money to take him to the vet.does any one no what it is.if so what do i put on it.

Your cat probably has ear mites.  Look inside carefully with a bright flashlight and if the inside of the ear is dark brown & waxy it's probably suffering from mites.

Plain baby oil soaked on a cotton ball can help by gently cleaning out what you can from the cats' ear.  However, if left untreated you cat can develop a yeast infection if it hasn't already.  Really need to see your vet to take care of your kitty.

How long is "for awhile"?  Your cat probably has a fungal infection in its ear or ear mites.  If you can't afford a simple vet visit and the cost of ear meds then why on earth do you have a cat?  The best thing for this cat would be for it to be surrendered to a shelter so that someone with the means to care for it can adopt it.

Cleaning the cat's ear with baby oil will NOT kill mites.  It needs mite medicine for the ears or to be put on Revolution by the vet which controls fleas, ticks, heartworm and mites.
