Someone please help me with my xbox live connection!

Question

Whenever i try to join Xbox live it wont work! It says my network adapter is unplugged, i checked and it isn't. My wii was able to get onto wifi but the xbox is saying there isn't any internet connection. Someone please tell me how to get on Xbox live!

Several things could be wrong.

You said your wii internet works so your connection must be strong enough.  

It could be any of the following:

Your gaming router is not properly configured.  (most come with an installation CD and you plug it into your computer and set it up)

Your gaming router is not compatible with xbox 360.  

Your Ethernet cable is not working properly.

After powering the router on you are not allowing enough time for it to connect to the internet before turning on your xbox.

If it turns out that your wireless bridge(gaming router) cannot be used with xbox live I recommend this one.  It has worked well for me, and it is relatively inexpensive. http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite...

Even when I failed to connect to xbox live when setting mine up it still always detected the router.  My personal opinion is that you either your Ethernet cable is bad, or you need a different wireless bridge.

you need to open up ur port for your router to allow the connection thru... you can do this on your router settings.. usually the address is 192.168.2.1 or something like that... go under settings and allow the port... something like that... google it
