I normally suffer from High blood pressure. I wasnt feeling well a few hours ago so i went to bed. My husband took my blood pressure. It was lower than it usually is ( usually is 135+/95+) it was 109/74 . My heart was feeling like it was pounding out of my chest ( this happens a lot) my pulse rate was 104-106. We took it several times just to be sure it was right and it was nearly the same every time. My pulse is always in the 100+ range, just never this close to my top blood pressure number. ( im taking Lisinopril) what happens when the top number in the blood pressure is the same or is lower than the pulse rate?

  1. Maybe you have consume something that made your heart sped up..

Always take note of what you are eating. Some foods cause heart rates to go up.

  2. I think you would feel heaps better if you called the health direct line and asked them. then you could relax and know for sure whats going on and if you need to worry.
