Question:

Someone please tell me all the dwarf planets in our solar system?

All i know are Pluto and Ceres, but theres more.

  1. The IAU currently recognizes only 4 dwarf planets at this time - Ceres, Pluto, Makemake, and Eris.

    But there are at least another 41 trans-Neptunian objects that may also be dwarf planets (they haven't been officially designated as dwarfs at this time).

    Some scientists estimate that the actual number of dwarf planets could be around 200 when the entire Kuiper Belt is fully explored, and there could be over 2000 in the solar system.


  2. There are the possibilities of thousands as we see better.  The IAU currently recognizes only four dwarf planets—Ceres, Pluto, Makemake, and Eris, but it is suspected that at least another 41 discovered objects in the Solar System might belong in this category.
