Someone please tell me that cartilage is a bone?

me and my boyfriend had the stupidest argument. i say that cartilage is a bone.. and he claims its a tissue, but i think the bone is made up of tissue.

Cartilage is tissue, some of which grows (in a developing body) into bone. Some, like what's in your nose, remains cartilage. Might be the reason for your confusion. Young children with broken 'bones' heal very rapidly compared to adults for this very reason.
