Dani is the niece of Emily Stewart, as Dani's mother Betsy (portrayed by Meg Ryan) was Emily's half-sister. As Emily was the surrogate mother of Alison, Dani is Ali's cousin.

Betsy Stewart who is Emily's half sister is Dani's mom and Steve andropolis is Dani's father. When Dani was first born they thought that she was Craig Montgomery's daughter, but a year later it turned out that Steve was her father. Emily Stewart is Dani's aunt. As Jamie stated Emily is Alison's surrogate mom so that makes Alison Dani's first cousin along with Daniel(Emily's son) and she was also cousin's with Jennifer Munson.

On a side note: I have a bad feeling about this girl, I can not pinpoint it, but I think she is going to cause some problems for the Stewart women. Alison is already heated by the fact that Dani was crushing on Chris. I don't know what it is but I smell Trouble!
