Someone said quote "its time to box or throw rocks"?

Sorry I don't know who said that, This is 1st time I hear it, But I like it. :)

I take it to mean that this is the time to make up your mind.

similar to "Its show time." OR "Lets get cracking".

I can visualize, two Ganges fighting in the street, and they take turns at throwing stones at each other. the other gang would be hiding inside a box or behind it. When they run out of stones, they get in the box and the other gang would start stoning.

A gang leader might signal that it is time to raid the other gang, He would say "Its time to box or throw rocks".
