I got an email saying some guy named Stephen Camp Sr mailed me a package from stamps.com. I got tracking info and everything. I do not know anyone named Stephen Camp. Is this a scam or some kind of spam mail? What do I do when I get the package? It's kind of creeping me out that im getting somethng from a stranger.

  1. Think back - have you bought anything off eBay or any other online website recently? If so, this is probably just the company sending you your item.

Whenever I purchase things off eBay, I get an email in my Yahoo! email account that says (for example) "John Smith has mailed chicagocubs777 a package from Stamps.com". The name of the person (John Smith, or in your case, Stephen Camp) is just the name of the person/employee who packaged together your package for the company. They use the employee's name to keep track of who is responsible for your package (in case you receive the wrong order etc, they know who to blame).

When you get the email, you do NOT have to do anything with it, so even if it is somehow spam or a fake email, you don't have to worry about it.

Just forget about the email for now, and if you get a package in the mail soon, you'll know that it was a real stamps.com package alert :)
