Someone sold me a stolen car with the title and the police came and took the car. I lost more than 1300.00 on this car. I filed a small claims lawsuit, but the sheriff and break down the door to serve him. And now I don't know what to do. Can anyone give me any ideas on what else I can

  1. That is your only recourse.  Continue with the law suit.

  2. You might get a judgement against the guy in Small Claims Court, but a judgement and actually getting your money back are two different things. I would say your chances are very slim that you'll see your money again. Sorry.

  3. buy a bike from a garage sale instead. save the money for a car. u really need a car by end of september. take advantage of the heat and ride a bike and loose weight. hehehe. i dont know how far u have to travel but it is possible to buy a bike for $10 and not a car. so u can go do light things around ur neighborhood while u save up for the car but if its serious job far away so sory. keep lookin at cars. good luck

  4. Let' s get this straight first:

U bought a car that had a false title.

U filed in small claims and had him served.

    Did u get a JUDGMENT?

Are u now saying he is judgement proof?

After this stage anything else is pretty much Xtralegal and u have already put yourself on the list ("usual suspects").
