Someone tell me why ppl hate on kimbo???

is it bcuz he was a streetfighter that looks like he just came in mma ??? Rampage was a streetfighter but he just didnt record his fights and he started out just like kimbo so if rampage did record his fights and put them on youtube before he came to mma ppl would think of rampage the same as kimbo

Kimbo has basically walked into the game as a rookie and given main event status...I don't think he asked for it.  EliteXC realizes that Kimbo is older, his time is short, and they need to use him to the fullest while they can. What people can't seem to grasp is that with that elevated status comes pressure to perform. It really isn't fair. Now, instead of realizing the positives he can bring, everyone will focus on the negatives. There is an element of jealousy there. And whether people want to admit it or not, race does have something to do with it. The UFC is trying to hand Brock Lesnar, who also has proved nothing in MMA, the keys to the kingdom, and no one seems to be bashing him, a FAKE fighter who got into MMA off his name and popularity.

The bottom line is, people who are struggling in life, just making ends meet doing jobs they don't like in order to survive, hate to see someone else get a lucky break. It's the "crab" mentality. Also even in this day and age there are some and I stress SOME white people, not all, that still don't like to see a black man get ahead and try to better himself. That's why people hate on Kimbo. I say, if your a fan of the sport, be a fan. If you don't like the way he fights, say that then. If A fighter doesn't interest me, I don't watch him. Everyone is free to do the same.

I dont mind kimbo fighting "cans" dont mind him being a brawler there alot of brawler sin the sport and alot of guys who never face a decent oppent in there careers what i dont oike is if kimbo were not this big you tube street fighitng thing he is fighitng in rinky dink shows for little moneynot headlining CBS in prime time

The problem with Kimbo? It's really his fans.

Some people are claiming Kimbo to be already the best fighter in the world and that simply isn't true. He could be good but right now he's not and some fans have to cool down.

Kimbo is regarded by a hero by some people and while he was a YouTube sensation...his success almost undermines a lot of veterans have done.

Kimbo also makes a whole lot of money compared to most fighters. $160,000 is what a main eventer in the UFC receives and he simply hasn't paid his dues (in the ring) to earn such a big paycheque so I can understand why MMA fighters are angry.

Kimbo has looked less than impressive in all of his mma fights.   He is out of shape and that was made evident by his most recent match last week, where the match appeared to be fixed as he should have been out in the second round.  Also he has yet to fight a decent fighter.  Put him in UFC and let him fight their heavyweights and see what happens.  Kimbo has the potential to be a great fighter, but it will take alot of hard work for him to get there.  Not so sure he will make it.

The media hype on Kimbo isn't really Kimbo's fault, he can't control what is said about him. Also I think there was so much talk for so long before we saw an actual fight that we were expecting some monster and that just wasn't the case.

He didn't do horrible and he is a tough guy but his ground game sucks and he needs way more training. I was surprised to see that he is only 34, I thought he looked like some 50 year old street hobo.

Whoever said he made a bunch of money for that fight, do you know how much he got?

Because Kimbo isnt good enough to main event shows.  When Rampage started he wasnt headlining events he was on undercards.  Thats why ppl hate on Kimbo is he getting more money then everyone else in MMA and he doesnt deserve it.  Im not blaming him id take the money to
