and now i have a red color spot - i assume those are damaged pixels - can it be repaired and if so will it cost more than i paid for the television? thanks, i appreciate your time

  1. 1st, this is not covered by the warranty, as suggested by your first poster, and not by your homeowners insurance. 2nd, it will cost you almost as much as a new set (with a new warranty) to have it fixed. Technically, assuming you can get the parts, it can be fixed, but it just isn't cost effective. Realistically, you either have to live with it or replace the TV.


  2. It probably can be repaired, but and it will likely cost a lot. I don't know if more than the manufacture price of the set, but close.  Is it under warranty?  You should contact the manufacture and find out for the pricing.
