  1. They probably received daycare assistance thru DHS.  Contact your local DHS and just ask the intake worker.

  2. depends on if they have an income

    i'm in FL

my mom was a home certified daycare provider, a lot of the babies and toddlers came through a program called CCC (Coordinated Child Care) mom's went thru them and they helped the mom's pay for their daycare, some full time students that didn't have jobs had their childcare paid full, some single parents that had low income paid just a small amount while that program paid almost all of it, like babies were $140/week toddlers $120/week, some parents paid my mom $10-$30 a week while the program sent my mom a check for the difference

check and see if in your state this program exists or some like it

  3. It all depends what school it is. I'm going to RSU in Claremore Oklahoma and I think it's free childcare but there is a waiting list...so It all just depends. Good Luck =]]

  4. there may be benefits available to struggling students in your area to pay for childcare, but it is not automatic.

She may be getting it through financial aid with her school though, many people at my school used the campus childcare center and their financial aid covers it (so basically they are getting free daycare)

  5. They have different programs in different states.  I never heard of free daycare.  But I have heard of paying a certain amount that was alot lower than what it would have been.

  6. Depends on the situation. It could be that the college has a daycare on campus and students get free daycare. It could be that your friend is on welfare and daycare is covered for her.

  7. Yes.

  8. I have never heard of that.

I am assuming it depends on the school, and what benefits they offer to their students.

  9. Im in Canada, and while Im in school full time I will get $40 a day from the government for childcare. I dont have to apply for it or anything, it will be a great help!!

  10. Probably so. There are alot of free benefits when you are going to school. Especially if you are a single parent. Check with your schools office and see what they say. There is also alot of free grants that people don't know about. For example if you go to tutoring (which is free) atleast 2 hours a week you get a $500 grant each semester.

  11. They may have gotten the benefits from the school they attend.  There may be a state supported program for Oklahoma, if you qualify. But in general, it doesn't exist.

  12. check with your local division of child and family services (or whatever they are called in your area).

In some states it is available and it depends on your hours af attendance and when the childcare is needed
