  2. If you are halfways agreeable to look at, no problem at any time.

    But traditionally Carnival/Fastnacht/Fasching time is a time of licentiousness, and it used not to be counted as cheating if you went astray for the day when I was living there 20 years ago.

  4. Not quite. It is a German festival at which people, generally children dress up in costumes (kind of like Halloween), adults may also dress up in costumes to attend a Faschingsparty of some sort. (It's not like trick or treating here in the States.)

  5. Hey, I guess none of you have ever been on Rosenmontag in Cologne or Dusseldorf.

    Several years ago I was in Cologne. I remember ending up that day partying in a living room with complete strange people.

    That happens all over the place and depending on the people, free love is included.
