ok my friend told me that in animal crossing wild world if i donate all the fossils and all the fish and all the paintings and all the insects i am the mayaor!is this true?

Whoever told you that is wrong! Instead, when you finish donating items to the museum, you get a letter in the mail with the museum model attached to it.

But... It doesn't really matter. You pretty much ARE the mayor, once you're done being Nook's indentured servant. Like, you get to choose how to design your town, plant trees, place patterns, you get to judge contests, YOU are in charge of the town tune, picking weeds, planting flowers, and you're the only one who donates to Boondox. Plus, wouldn't dear old Tortimer be heartbroken if he found out he couldn't be mayor anymore?
