Someone who has an expert opinion, put these LCD TV brands in best to worst order?

Samsung and Sharp are at the top.

The rest, I have no idea but please note that there are only about 5 manufacturers in the world that make LCD screens.  A lot of these companies are selling the same TVs but with different guts.

From best to worst:

1) Sony or Samsung (depends on the model and features, both are top notch)

2) Sharp- good quality looks a little bit washed-out compared to Sony and Samsung

3) LG- great picture quality, offer great value for the price

4) JVC- slightly higher incidence of failure than other brands (harder to find)

5) Phillips- low quality, but cheap

6) Vizio- if there were more names on the list this would be lower.

I omitted Panasonic because they are primarily a manufacturer of Plasma sets(which happen to be the best plasma sets for the money), that being said, their only two models of LCD at 32" and 37" are on par with Sony and Samsung.
