  1. I won't add much more to Poison's answer -- it is about the best.

One word of advice: work in small sections a little at a time.  You can always go and cut more, but you CANNOT put any of it back on!

To produce those softer wispy ends, you need to cut little snips, and not across the strand but at an angle.  This produces slightly uneven ends and that's what you want.  Using a razor makes them more wispy, but you can also slice more off, so be careful.  With very fine hair, or thin bangs, use only scissors, but with thick heavy hair, you can use a razor or thinning shears.  Holding the hair downwards makes them fuller; holding it higher up makes them more tapered and layered.

For side swept bangs, it usually works best to pull the hair in the OPPOSITE direction when cutting.  For example, for bangs moving to the right, hold your sections off to the left.  The more extreme the angle of the bangs you want, hold them further to the left.  Do small sections at a time, and then see how they fall when brushed into place.  It's all a trial and error method... cut a little, check it, and cut a bit more, until it's just right.  Then LEAVE IT ALONE!  You can't put anything back once it's cut off.

  3. take a shaving razor and cut the desired parts. It will look pretty.

  4. If you have longish bangs like me you should get reallly sharp scissors

and put the hair you wanna cut to the side u want it and cut it to a length you want it

  5. The easiest way to cut your bangs is this:

    1) take a comb and draw a line across your hairline where you want the bangs to start (I would only go about 1/4" into your hairline)

    2) Comb your bangs in front of your face (double check that this is the right amount of thickness, width, etc)

    3) Twist your bangs so they are all twisted in a bunch, and should lay directly in the center of your forehead between your eyebrows

    4) Cut straight across (while bangs are twisted) at about the arch of your nose (you can always make them shorter, it's better to cut a little longer than what you want)

    5) Untwist bangs

    6) Sweep them to the side, and see if you like the way it looks, if you want them shorter, either repeat the process, or hold scissors at a 45 degree angle and trim them to slightly longer than the desired length

I always cut my bangs dry, so they don't surprise me by getting shorter after they dry (as is the case if you cut them when they are wet) and I never cut them exactly even... they should look even but if you cut them at a slight angle with the scissors they look more natural

If you have never cut your own bangs before a good tip is to go to a hairstylist and ask them to show you how to cut your own bangs, exactly how you want them. Most hairstylists will charge you about $7 for a bang trim, as long as you don't want anything else done to your hair.

  6. link doesnt work

  7. wet hair.separate with small fork comb what you want to cut. secure the rest with hair holders-clips away from face.with sharp scissors, good scissors NOT  for stationary -do this: first take the chunk you want to cut twist it and cut  on the ends a little in one even cut not little nips.let go comb and see if it looks short enough.REMEMBER WET HAIR always looks shorter.so leave wet hair LONGER than really desired.to have a little wispy just take hole bangs between fingers hold with onne hand, upwards and insert the scissors into fringe and ´cut shorter pieces-SMALL pieces AND GENLTY-here and there.

  8. yeah link does not work.
