they're terms used to describe the movement of stars and planets.your birthday is a indicator to your star symbol.you can find it out on yahoo astrology.

Moon represents your emotion.

Rising...  how you approach life and how people see you.

For example...

If you have a Sun Aries... then you are aggressive kinda person.

If you have a Moon Gemini, then you can have an evil mood and good mood. sorta like Bipolar.

And if you have a Sun Aries, but have Pisces Rising...

then you are aggressive person, but you appear to be a shy person to other people who don't know you.

With Pisces Rising... the first thing you see when you look outside is water.
