Somerset defeat Surrey by 38 runs: Friends Life Twenty20 - Part 2

The visitors were batting well and appeared to take their score past 180 in their innings, but they lost their way towards the end of the innings and managed 169 for the loss of seven wickets in the end.
However, the Surrey batsmen failed to make an impression and were restricted to 131 for the loss of eight wickets in their outing. Jason Roy was the top scorer for his team, collecting 32 runs.
The playing conditions didn’t change much, but batting was a bit more difficult compared to the first innings. The wicket became slower and the ball was not coming onto the bat, which made life difficult for the hosts.

Tom Maynard was the next man to be dismissed after managing just one run in his short outing. He was followed by Roy, who was batting very well. He didn’t seem to have any problems in the middle and struck six fours for his 32 runs from 22 balls.
South Africa’s, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zander-de-Bruyn-c98565 and Matthew Spriegel were the next two batsmen to follow. They collected 11 and one in their respective outings and the hosts were struggling at 73/6.

Suppiah used the conditions well and took three wickets for 22 runs in his four overs. He got good support from the other bowlers as well, as they didn’t conceded too many runs in the innings.
