Somerset re-sign Pakistan spinner Abdur Rehman – Cricket News Update
Somerset County Cricket Club has resigned Pakistan left-arm spinner http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abdur-Rehman-c41691 as their overseas player for the 2013 season.
The 32-year-old Rehman, who is currently serving a 12-week ban for using prohibited recreational drug cannabis during his short stay at Taunton in August this year, has had a hugely successful spell with the club last season.
The left-armer snared 27 LV = County Championship wickets at an impressive average of 14.19 from just four games, including startling figures of nine for 65 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Worcestershire-c866. He also took nine wickets in three CB40 matches at 8.11, with a best of six
for 16.
Rehman, who was one of the stand-out players during Pakistan’s 3-0 Test series triumph against England early this year, said that he was happy to return to Taunton after a successful 2012 season.
"I am happy to be coming back to England to play for Somerset CCC. I really enjoyed my time there last year and will look to play with the same intensity and passion," said the left-arm spinner.
"I would also like to thank the Somerset management and fans for their support in what has been a difficult period for me," added Rehman, who has played 17 Tests and 25 One Day internationals for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755.

December 21.
The left-arm spinner will join Somerset for the final five LV = County Championship matches of the 2013 season, and will also play in the final few games of the Clydesdale Bank 40 competition. It has been learnt that the club management is also eager to
sign the promising Pakistan spinner for their Friends Life t20 campaign next year.
