Somerset skipper hopeful of his team’s triumph in CLT20 – Cricket News Update
The Somerset skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Alfonso-Thomas-c991, hopes that his team will win the ongoing Champions League T20 2011 tournament, despite considering his side to be amongst the underdogs of the competition, especially given the Indian wickets.
Thomas aired these views while talking to the media in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792 last night after leading his side to win the group game of the CL against Kolkata Knight Riders.
He said, “It is good to be underdogs when you are winning. Three out of three wins is always good to take. We are definitely over the board.”
Thomas further told, “We certainly believe that we can win. As I have always said we have got to respect every opposition but we certainly don't fear anybody. We play to win and we have to play like the way Somerset always plays.”
Somerset won yesterday’s game empathetically by 5 wickets. Batting first, the KKR played an excellent innings and posted a target of 162 runs for the rivals to chase down.

and courage.

As per the expert opinion, Thomas and company are in a favourable position in the tournament on the basis of their talented players and glaring records in the previous season of the English County Cricket.
