The pitch had become a touch difficult for the batsmen on the third day’s play, as plenty of cracks had opened up. This allowed the home team to take advantage, restricting the opposition to a lesser total.

Joyce also failed to make a significant impact in the innings, as he got out after scoring 34 runs with the help of five boundaries.
This saw a collapse for the visitors, as wickets started to tumble in the innings. Veteran Zimbabwean player http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Murray-Goodwin-c2040 was sent back to the pavilion after managing just 6 runs.

However, the Somerset skipper remained unbeaten on 54 runs from 47 balls with the help of seven fours and a couple of massive sixes.
The lone wicket to fall in the Somerset innings was picked up by Rayner.
