The hosts would have been pleased with the performance of their bowlers, especially South Africa’s Alfonso Tomas, who ended up with figures of 6/60 in the innings.

Buttler batted aggressively whereas Thomas tried to defend from one end. The strategy worked out well for the hosts, as the pair put together 142 runs for the eighth wicket partnership.
The solid stand finally came to an end with the downfall of Buttler, who scored exactly 100 runs with the help of 11 fours and 4 thunderous sixes.
