Somerset whats it like to live there?

Hi I am thinking of moving to Alcombe, minehead somerset, can anyone tell me anything about the place good or bad, any info would be grateful thanks

Somerset is an ancient part of Britain - strange that most of the people living there think they are English.  Well, the reality is that they are of the same race group as the Welsh and Cornish - Celts - Oxford Uni DNA testing team have proved this.

So, don't blame me if you step into the world of the "Wickerman".

Somerset - once part of Wales, joined together with Kernow [the original South Wales], populated mostly by folk of Celtic descent - red hair, pale skin that sort of look plus blonde blue eyed types etc.

I don't know about Alcombe, but we were recently in Minehead  for a wedding. Minehead itself is a bit seedy, and crass, but some of the surrounding villages and countryside is really lovely, in fact, we liked Porlock so much we are renting a caravan for a week there in September, and considering I live in a very beautiful part of Cornwall, that's quite a compliment to the area.

I have had a look at some pictures of Alcombe, and it looks very nice. Have a look yourself, and enjoy your new life there.

Somerset is the ancient part of Britain the people are very warm and very friendly the people are mainly English but they the same race group as the Welsh the people in Somerset have been tested to see if they have Roman ancestry the dna of people has been tested there check out this webistes
