Well, I'd say about a week ago I started to notice her front right paw looked a little funny but I thought it was from a bone I had given her so I didn't pay it much attention. Then today I was giving her a bath and saw that the color wasn't coming off and I took a closer look and it doesn't look good :( The vet is closed tonight so I'll have to wait til morning. But does anyone know what it might be? It doesn't look like mange to me based on other pics I looked at. Kylie is on Advantix so that takes care or the flea and tick idea. Plus! She's starting to get it on all her feet now :( Please help!

  1. Get her checked, it's the only way to be sure.

We had a foster dog that was allergic to goldenrod. She was a black dog, so her skin didn't look pink like your dog's. But she constantly licked her paws, and even started limping. We realized her paw pads were chewed apart and it was also due to the allergy.

We had to soak her feet twice a day in epsom salt dissolved in warm water and pat dry, apply Bag Balm. Anytime she went out, her feet had to be washed when she came in. Took a good 3 wks to clear it up completely.

  2. well most white dogs get like that but it could be the pressure on it is really strong and forcing more blood than is needed, the bone that was given to her it probably splinted and stabbed her foot and it is swelling.

  3. Allergies, have you had your lawn treated recently or new carpet installed, or new plants or trees put in?

  4. It looks like saliva stains from chronic l*****g.One of my dogs has the same thing on her feet. There isn't anything that will get it off. You might want to have her checked at the vet, just because of the skin on her feet.It looks a little inflamed. She probably has allergies.

  5. I'm not sure about the pad picture but the redness on her paws looks like it could be an allergy.  Sometimes it can occur with seasonal allergies and may cause her to chew on them as well.

  6. It may be an allergy.

Allergies are most common with dog foods containing corn, soy, wheat, by-products, colors, chemical preservatives such as ethoxyquin and euthanasia drugs(website in sources).

Look into switching your dog to a grain free kibble such as Evo, Wellness Core, Blue Wilderness, Taste of the Wild, and solid gold barking at the moon.

It can take up to six weeks to see the difference.

Even if it is not an allergy, pedigree is about the lowest quality out there for dogs.

  7. What does it look like??

  8. Is she a puppy? Maybe she's just developing color there.  If not, i'd just take her to the vet.
