Or other suitable presents? Please help me think of souvenir ideas to thank a Spainish family for going to provide me hospitality. The father and mother are in their 30s. Father is my work colleague. Their children are under 10, one boy and one girl.

  3. A boomerang, a stuffed joey, or aboringinal art.

  4. I think I'd go with the Didgeridoo!

  5. Anything aboriginal. Art would be nice. Only give a bomerang if it works!

A good quality book of photographs of Aus would be nice too.

  6. Most Spanish people have a sweet tooth so sweets and the little cakes  could be a nice idea! made in Australia naturally

  7. Some of my family live in NSW.. The last time they were here they brought us some nice tea towels embroidered with aussie designs (kangaroos, koalas, etc). I enjoyed those, and they are practical...

Sweets...only if they are native to Australia...anything from the UK is imported to shops here in Spain.

Boomerangs might be nice for the children. (And you could show them how to use one!) Or a stuffed toy of one of the national amimals. Everyone loves kangaroos and koalas!

Aboriginal crafts or artwork and/or jewelry for the parents...

People in Spain are usually wine-lovers... If there are any good wines or national spirits, a bottle for your colleague would be nice...

Or perhaps a DVD with a good documentary film about your country  (with a spanish version included in case their english isn't perfect).

By the way...enjoy your visit to Spain!
