Question:

Something Dead in the Wall?

How do I remove something dead from inside my wall? I've thoroughly checked the inside and outside walls respective to the icky smell, but I can't find anything - so I'm assuming it's on the inside. Anyone deal with this before? Can I do this myself, or do I call some kind of 'professional?' Thanks.

  1. just use a sheetrock cutter its easier

  2. I have had a dead mouse in my wall and the professional I called said he would have to make holes in my wall until he located the critter (yikes!). What I ended up doing was filling a bulb syringe with baking soda and squirting it into the crack between the floor and the wall (lime would work as well). It dulled the smell, but it took about 2 weeks for the smell to totally go away. My next move was to get some cats and I have not had any dead animals in my walls since.

  3. you probably should call a handyman to check it out - in case the wall needs to be cut into.

  4. its possibly a raccoon

    u should call animal control
