Question:

Something I've been wondering?

I've been on yahoo the last couple of months and never have I seen Christians so rabidly force the gospel upon those who have decided for themselves there is no God. My question is why with what we understand about our faith are they failing to shake the dust off their sandals? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's wrong to share the gospel, but why share it with those who have heard and still refuse to hear?

  1. Face it, some Christians are not the sharpest tools in the shed.

  2. There are people on this site who are curious about the Lord and if we do not spread the gospel correctly, then we leave it to atheists to deceive these people.  I have seen direct attempts at being a stumbling block to baby Christians and mature Christians must step in when this occurs.

It is important to discern the spirits and not everyone on this site is refusing to hear.  Some are searching diligently for answers.

  3. God tells us to spread the word because we are his disciples. It is out duty in life to do that for Him. Even if people dont want to hear it you never kno one little phrase could save a person. Im not for the shoving it in peoples faces but i dont think that standing up for what i believe in and saying a few things from the bible is a bad thing.

  4. From your lips to gods ears

  5. I do not know you should not force your beliefs on any one that does not want to hear them or believe in them

  6. Rabid Christians make a mockery of the words of Jesus of Nazareth, just as Rabid Muslims make a mockery of the REAL meaning of the Quran.

There is nothing so dangerous as a person who hides behind their Scripture to claim: "My god is the only true god, and those who do not agree will be destroyed or punished for all eternity".  That is the thinking that gives birth to bigotry that turns to intolerance that manifests itself in outright persecution of non-believers.  That is the kind of brain-washed thinking that causes young Muslims to blow themselves up in the name of their god.  That is the kind of brain-washed thinking that causes dim-witted bible-raised teen age Christians to beat g*y men and women to death, or shoot abortion doctors  in the name of their Christ.

THOSE are people who, allegedly,  read their Scriptures but have not a CLUE what those Scriptures really mean.

  7. The answer is that we're here because unbelievers ASK and we ANSWER.  I haven't seen any believers shove their belief down anyone's throat, we only answer questions.  How can that be forcing our belief on anyone?

    D1

  8. Some people just have a 'bone to pick', and pick it here.

Others are simply never satisfied and wouldn't be happy if they were hung with a new rope (hey, I heard that from a christian...!)

  9. At this point the signs point to close to the end times, that we will soon experience the close of the church age so I believe its not as huge a concern anymore as Jesus asked, 'when the son of man returns will I find faith on the earth?'....to but it bluntly our commision is growing to a close and an angel in revelations finishes the job. So I am more concerned now with exhorting the believers you will find from all my posts.

Look the 4 horseman are ready to run rampet, the seals are preparing too open, a certain false teacher (bordering on being a prophet) is running around teaching a false Jesus, so the trumphets must be readying to sound. Seems just that clear.

  10. Because someone may arrive for the first time today. And they may listen.

Why do atheists seem so desperate to force their theories onto those who don't accept it?

  11. All believers are considered desciples and they are charged with the mission to spread the word

  12. Me too. Although I must admit, sparring with some of them is fun sometimes.

  13. AW, It's all in fun & cyber-carnage, till some sanctimonious prick hits the Report Button.

  14. my view as a christian is this god says you should be hot or cold for his word but not luke warm so if you don't believe in god, that's your decision, more power to you and i don't think people should cram their religion down your throat because most of them don't know what their talking about, just look at the answers you'll get but in the same token non believers should not answer questions on here ,their being just as ignorant as those who are ignorant to the word of god
