Well i got my copy of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion pretty much when it first came out a couple of years ago. Back then i had:

Intel Pentium 3

2.00 GHz

512 mb RAM

and im not quite sure what graphics card i had then but i know that it was older than the one i have now.

I reinstalled Oblivion a few days ago onto my newer computer which has:

Intel Pentium 4

2.00 GHz, 2.00 GHz

1.00 GB RAM

ATI Raedon 9600

With my old system i could run the game perfectly smooth with 2 or 4 samples and details on medium. But now i have my newer better computer i can't even run Oblivion at it's lowest requirments. Could someone please help i have no clue how this could be possable as my computer is better than ever.

  1. you should run fine... check to see what's running in the background.

use a "process explorer" ap to find and kill anything unnecessary.

write down all these names to later delete them.

    restart restart restart!

    enjoy the game!
