Something bad just happened...?

I'm incubating two mallard duck eggs. They are due to hatch in six days. The people that were going to take them can't anymore. What do I do now? Where are some local places they could go? I'm really scared, too. I was thinking farms, but do I just ring the doorbell of some person I don't know and just be like, "Hey will you take in my ducklings?" I'm worried out of my mind about what to do with them. Oh, and please don't yell at me about this, it wasn't supposed to happen.

  1. one question: why did you incubate eggs that you were not going to keep the babies? Give them to the wild game dept or ASPCA

  2. Where do you live? What you should do is call the vets and humane societies in your area and get the names and numbers for avain rehabbers. They can take good care of them and find them homes.

If you were close enough to me I would take them. I live in western Kentucky. Where are you?

  3. you can call you feed store they will probably take them or will tell you what to do with them

  4. You could sell them on eggbid.com  you would want to list them right away so you could mail them asap after hatch.

  5. You could take them to the animal shelter, that would probably be the safest place for them to live.

  6. you could keep them and sell the eggs

or you could give them to a farm either one that doesn't kill or one that does.

or you could sell them to someone else

  7. If i were you i would put an add in the paper, or ask some of your friends that might know some people that are interested in taking the ducklings. Good luck :]
