Something came out in my blood?

Question

I've started my first proper period since my coil fell out and i started the pill. But something has come out in my blood, it looked like a long thin piece of slimy skin? i'm feeling mild cramping but getting a little worried.

its more than likely just a blood clot, they do look like skin somtiemes but if you touch it it will fall apart and just basically be lots of dry blood

once i lost some skin, it was defo skin, it was a perfect circle, i threw it down the toilet and told the doctor, she asked me why i didnt take it with me :S lol everythings fine though, never did actually find out what it was

if u do start to bleed very heavy or are in bad pain plz go to A&E

Wow...that could be a side effect of the coil.  I don't know.  Never heard of it.  I'd suggest you go to your doctor ASAP.

I have no experience with a coil, but you say you've started taking the pill. When I started taking the pill I bled for almost the whole month, (with constant cramps too). The blood had more clots than i experience with a normal period. I assume they were clots, anyway they were as you describe, stringy and sometimes slightly hard.

One of the ways in which the pill works is to thin the lining of the womb, so i assumed that was what was happening, a kind of 'emptying out' of the womb. Might be wrong though, I don't have any medical training.

Sounds to me like you've just miscarried.

I might be wrong but I'd perhaps go to a dr just to check.

I've never miscarried so don't take my word for it but it doesn't sound normal!!!

Should just be a clot but if in doubt go see your GP
