Something for me to do over summer?

It's summer and i'm totally bored. It's also wet wet wet again. What can i do to keep myself occupied???

Well Laura this might not be your cup of tea, or maybe it is. I work nights and have the day time to do what I want. This leaves me bored because most other people work days. I tend to get on my wife's nerves with all this time on my hands.

I got involved with the Vacation Bible School program at our church. For a week I got to work with the children of our church and visiting children. They made crafts, learned new songs, played outdoor games, had snacks and story time.

It ties up about 3 hours of the morning. Some churches do it in the afternoon. I enlisted the help of my daughter who was also bored. And, you don't have to limit it to your church. Other churches have VBS throughout the summer and always welcome volunteers with open arms.

They may ask you to go get a live scan finger print. If they are smart they do anyway.

Even if you are non-churched yourself or you are strict to one denomination just keep in mind. This is for the children! They don't care about one denomination to the next. You are there for them.

It is extremely rewarding and a lot of fun.

well if you can't go someplace then you could try surfing the web watching movies or could invite some friends over and dosomething like bowling

Get some pics of you your friends famliy and pets and make a collage! those are really fun!
