Something funky is growing in my dads mouth...doctors PLEASE HELP!

Question

my dad has something on the inside of his cheek

it is dark in colour like dark purple and about half an inch big

its looks like a spot and it doesnt hurt he says

he has had it for about a month

it doesnt itch

when he touches it it doesnt hurt

any ideas to what it is and is it harmful should he see a doctor?

Sounds serious my friend. Please go see a doctor right away. My uncle had oral cancer and they were able to operate and get it all. He is doing great now but it isn't something that one can delay in getting checked out.

Yeah for sure go see a doctor immediatly it could be nothing just like it could be something serious like cancer. Call for an appointment immediatly or go to a walk-in clinic! Good luck I hope its nothing a couple of antibiotics cant fix! xox

I would go see a Dr ASAP.  Can't figure out though if he should see a regular Dr or a dentist.
