Something growing in garden. Red, looks like mushroom shaped like a cone. What is it.?

growing by bark/ mulch. Attracks flys. Is it poison?

If it looks like one of these, then it's a stinkhorn.  Never eat any wild mushroom that you are unsure of what it is.

Could be a Morel mushroom-they grow in a cone shape. They aren't poisonous, in fact quite delicious. But I would never eat a wild mushroom without be absolutely certain of what it is. You could end up very sick if you make a mistake in identifying them.

It is a fungi ..do not eat it though...
