I was thinking it was the cats in the neighborhood--but I don't think cats eat avocados out of the tree. Could it be the possums in the neighborhood?

  1. LOL I live in a canyon surrounded by citrus and avocado groves and this is a constant problem.  In our area, birds, coyotes, stray dogs, rats, squirrels and possums are all the culprits.  Really takes a bite out of the farmers profits, too.  (Couldn't resist the pun)

  2. it could be racoons they always knock over  trash cans and racoons eat everything
