Something is wrong with my big toe.?

it hurts a ton!!, its swollen, and doesn't look infected. my mom took me to get a pedicure a week ago. and just today i suddenly noticed that my toe was hurting really bad! but i dont remember stubbing it and if i got an infection from the nail place wouldn't i have seen it earlier? would it be broken instead. i can't bend it like i normally can and toe is so swollen its straight all around. like usually i have a cure in my big toe but now its totally swollen. im playing softball for my highschool and today i played on it. but with a ton of pain. is that bad? im scared to go to the doctors because i dont want to be out of softball for weeks. since the new season is starting again.

please help.

No such thing.  Go see a doctor ASAP before the swelling does any further vascular or nervous damage to your toe.  Do this now and you may only miss the beginning of the season, better than missing the whole thing.

I think your only hope is the hospital. You need to go as soon as possible. If you keep walking on it, it could get worse and affect you for the rest of your Earthly life. I would think your health would be more important than some game. And like the first answerer said, it's better to go to the hospital and miss a little softball than to not go and miss it for the rest of your life.

Honestly, your toe is in jeopardy so I would go to the doctor and if it is an infection you CAN sue that nail salon company for some good money.

If you do end up playing softball on your hurt toe it can damage the toe even more and you may not even be able to play soft ball ever again! you never know!

the infection could spread all the way through your foot and your leg could be chopped off because of the injury and everything done to it.

So be smart! and go to the doctor.
