  1. Do. Not. Put. Anything. On. Her. Ear. that you have in your medicine cabinet. That's peroxide, calamine lotion, or anything else! How long has she had these bumps? Do they bother her? Are they bleeding? You have to understand... you know how peroxide burns on an open wound? Your kitty is roughly 1/10th of your size, and it probably scared the dickens out of him to have its owner hurt it like that! Ouch!

Try to call around or call your own vet and describe the situation and that you don't have the money right now. If you've been going to the same vet for awhile, he might set up a payment plan of some kind for you. The vet doesn't want to see your cat suffer.

  2. could you post a pic?

do you see any little black specks in or around her ears??

if so... this could be ear mites (very very common in cats)...especially if  she is twitching her ears?  like they itch?

These little buggers often cause irritation to the skin...

our doc prescribed tresaderm when my kitty had earmites...5 drops twice daily... maybe you could see about ordering online....

it's hard...i feel for you...vets are seeming more and more like dentists...nowadays...keep ya comming back and back..charge an arm a leg for the miniscule...so so expensive!

hang in there...sometimes...the animal interest orgs will host special programs for poor pet owners to obtain low/no cost vet services for their pets.  Check your local listings...we have several groups...the humane society, aarf, ...

good luck...post back and let us know how it goes...

if you can get close enough to your kitty;s ears, and you suspect mites, you can gently swab q tip around visable area to remove dirt, debree, dried blood, and bug remains and their digested waste products..

    ewe..

if she has gotten into something and having an allergic reaction...I am uncertain what your course of action would be...

in other boards...some have reported that avon skin so soft diluted is supposed to be gentle and soothing for skin rashes...but I would research this before using on my cat...I haven't ever used  this.

I have used a dry cotton q tip, or cotton make up removal pad to wipe out ears...I have also used a make up pad slightly moistened (not dripping as the water can run into your cats ear and cause other problems...with warm water or warm water and downey/dishwater mix.

    good luck

  3. Try borrowing the money to take her to the vet because there are many things it could be, if you are not going to take her to the vet, clean her ears with peroxide and a q tip, do not pour the peroxide in her ears, then get some ear mite medicine and follow the directions, then on the infected area put some anti fungal cream on it incase it is microsporum canis, commonly known as ringworm in cats, if this does not work, try some anti septic spray anti itch spray or calamine lotion.

and take her to the vet as soon as you get some money.

  4. " I dont have the $75 office fee right now!"

At what point did you decide that owning a pet would not involve expenses???

Get the furbaby to a Vet or sign it over to animal rescue group.

You are a mucking fess !!!
