  1. Hi Monika,  Well,  you know you are going to have to take your flute in for an adjustment and there is no real way around it if you are going to be able to practice this summer.   Usually when you have problems blowing the F and G notes it is because of a problem in the  keys of the left hand...  speciflcally the two keys that are divided by the Ab lever.  But it could have something to do with an adjustment needed in the rods above the keys.  It is very hard to guess without seeing it and playing it myself...  but that is what I suspect.  Go ahead and take it in as soon as you can,  as repair techs are going to have their hands full with so many people needing repairs before the fall semester begins again.  Good luck.

  2. Something could be seriously wrong with the pipes connecting to your holes-do they seem bent.have any extra holes in or odd in any other way?

If you are trying to reach the upper octave maybe your technique is wrong. If someone else you know plays the flute (or if not your teacher) get them to have a go so you will know if its you or your flute. If its your flute it may need repairs.

Mostuire could be stuck in the pads underneath the keys.

  3. Before you start paying hundreds of dollars to have it repaired, try looking at the springs and screws.  DO NOT TOUCH THEM. yet.  if you see a spring (it looks like a sewing pin laying flat) that is not touching another part of the flute, CAREFULLY move it back into place.  If a s***w at either end of the flute is loose just take a small s***w driver and s***w it back in. be very careful not to tighten it to tight or the keys will not move at all.  to double check look at a picture of a flute that has all the screws and springs in the right place and compare it to your flute.  if this does not work it's probably time to go to a repair center.

  4. Check first, to see if all the pads are well closed when you try to do these notes.

I suspect that you might need to replace one pad.
