Question:

Something that I have noticed about pets.?

Ok, has anyone noticed that people always ask about their problems when the animal has them and not before. No one researches about diseases before they get the animal. It really annoys me. AND they ask us to help when the vet would be the best thing for the animal.

Also another thing is how many people want cheap pets. Some people want to spend $100 on a dog. I mean really, that is enough money for the food. They don't look at how much the animal will actually cost.

The worst is when people are sooo specific. They are like. I would like a fish under $3 that grows 4", lives in coldwater, and will live 5 years. I mean, give us answerers a chance to give you an answer.

  1. I totally agree. It really aggravates me when people ask well what food is the cheapest and I can only spend X amount on my new dog, etc. It's like, give me a break. Don't get a dog unless money is not an issue and you are financially stable. My boyfriends family is the same way, they got a dog from the adoption agency cheap and have only given her like tennis balls for toys. Now she is getting older and needs more medical attention, and they just can't afford it. My boyfriend and I have been paying for her to get her shots so she can get in and see a vet about this paw she has been limping on for MONTHS. I don't know how his family just sits back and watches their dog limp around the house, it's so sad.

  2. Totally agree! And if you can't afford over $100 for the dog/cat/whatever, how are you gonna buy the food, vaccinations, medicine, soap, shampoo etc.? Then what happens to the pet when you can't afford it?

In the year 2006-2007, these are all the animals that have been put down in the RSPCA IN ONE YEAR (because people 1. couldn't be bothered to look after their pet, 2. Couldn't be bothered to reclaim their pet, 3. Didn't want a second-hand pet!

    Dogs: 21,973

    Cats: 33,343

That's just sad! People really need to think before they get a pet!

  3. YOU'RE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!! That is true! I do notice it, now that you mention it!! I mean really, why can't they just take the sick animal to the vet instead of waisting time asking us!? They should just do what's right for the animal and have it checked!!

  4. Ya, I have noticed that too.
