Something to consider for Cubs and Rays fans?

In this decace we have seen droughts end and 1st timers

2001 Arizona Diamondbacks reach their 1st world series and win their 1st world championship

2002 Anaheim Angels reach their 1st world series and win their 1st world championship

2004 The Boston Red Sox break the curse of the Bambino by winning their first world championship since 1918

2005 The Chicago White Sox win their 1st world series since 1917

2005 The Houston Astros reach their 1st world series in franchise history

2007 The Colorado Rockies reach their 1st world series in franchise history

This shows that this could be the year for either the Cubs or Rays if this trend continues.

Also its the cubs and rays.  They will forever be losers.  The rays will win a pennant in the next 3-4 years with their young phenomenal pitching.  The cubs will never win anything. they havent won in 100 years, and stupid piniella hasnt won anything in 20 years.   cubs wont even make playoffs this year.  harden gets hurt in one of his next 3 starts

I am hoping for a Rays-Cubs series.....Cubs fans might be able to get inexpensive tix in Tampa, cause the Rays don't draw!!

I would have to agree that should the Cubs and/or Rays win it will not be a president setting event.  Nice job on the above research.

Great info.  All you hear is that the Rays won't make it because the Red Sox & Yankees are ALWAYS in the play-offs.  Or that the Cubs ALWAYS lose.

No such thing as never and always in sports.
