Something to think about before the racing starts?

With several weeks to go before we get our fix.

Picking from Moto GP, WSBK (&WSS), BSB, AMA and TT. Which race and/or circuit are you looking forward to most........and Why?

motogp:  indianapolis motor speedway, usa.  its totally new; no one has an edge yet.

Hey Neil,

I can't answer this question for two very good reasons

1) I have an apalling memory and can never remember the names of places..... or riders, and as for all the daftass letters after manufacturers names - give it up!

2) It's all good! Who knows what's gonna be best this season - WSBK's was great last year, and so was the smaller classes of motogp, with some races in the 800 class having you on the edge of your seat (but not many!), but  then TT was excellent too, although you only get half hour or so on telly, and I am really looking forward to WSS as I love Triumphs and can't wait to see them back in the game, but then BSB has had a bit of a shake up with the heir apparent (Haslem) moving rides and those twisty little tracks are always mad to see taken at the speeds they get up to now, besides superstock (is that what they call it? - the ones in Virgin red) that's usually a good crack 'cos it's the big chance for these lads to get noticed so they just go nuts - and who wouldn't, but you know, on reflection I've never seen any AMA stuff so that can come off the shortlist (hmmmmmm - not a very short short list)

Got to go Suzuka 8HR.

Its a long to time to wait, so I guess as a second [ read : very much so first ! ] I will have to wait untill the MotoGP Championship starts.

This year is really going to be of the chart.

The fastest ( and greatest ) man to ever grace a bike [ Vale #46 ] Vrs the Techno house of Ducati.

Yes the tyre are the same breed now, but the riders could not be any different.

The cool Aussie, almost Doohan ESQ laid back Stoner Vrs the " God Man " himself, "The Doctor" Valentino Rossi.

My real hope is he [ Vale ] does a Gardner. Win the championship then bow out as the number one.

He will never beat Ago's titles, but as for race wins, he is only 1 season behind.

What an amazing tribute to Rossi that would be !!! Bow out as the greatest ever.

I only live an hour and a half from Phillip Island myself but am not much into Moto GP.  As far as watching races goes I really dont need to bother as my son will have all the DVD's for SUpercross and Motocross and I will have to watch each one at least 50 times with the standard 'mum look at this corner' or ' check this pass out'.  So am only a spectator by force.

I guess I will have to watch what races my boys do this year and am not really looking forward to the Supercross series as I always worry that my youngest will be hurt as he is the only one of the two to do Supercross his older brother has more sense.

Superbikes at Phillip Island because i'll be there and it's the best motorcycle track in the world!
