Sometimes when im laying in bed, im not asleep, but just laying. Then all of a sudden, things that i hear seem to be very loud and aggressive, like if i move my quilt, the noise it makes seems really aggresive but quiet, its kinda hard to explain, and if i think, about things, the words seem like they are being shouted, but i know they are not.

As well as this, (and this one is even harder to explain) i sort of feel pressure in my head but it doesn't hurt, it feels quite nice and i can sort of see myself from above and i lose track of proportion, its sounds serious but i kinda enjoy it, no pain or discomfort and i am 100% fully conscious, any one have the same thing, or know what it is?

  1. Wow.. I thought I was the only one. When I lay down everything comes into focus, which makes it harder to sleep.

Now, about this pressure in your head, if you mean a feeling sort of like breathing heavy air or something, I also know what you mean, and it also feels good.

I have no idea what this may mean, but if anyone does, can you shed some light on it?

  2. Wow, I haven't thought about this stuff in years. When I was growing up I used to lie in my bed at night and stare at the hallway closet door and the k**b would begin to grow (seemed to visually in appearance). Like you, I would have hearing alterations as well. I am not sure what caused it, but I wasn't affraid of it. I'd love to know why as well.

I used to try to do it too!!! It was like I would try to reach the k**b without getting up ... and it would get closer and larger. I was in my teens when this happened and not really since.  why is that ... why when people are younger? Are we more open then?

  3. I'm curious about two things.  First, how old are you and second, how often do you experience this?

It sounds like you are describing an Out Of Body Experience (Astral Projection).  It's not as uncommon as most people would like to believe, mostly because those who do experience it, don't always remember it.  As an experiment, next time you begin to experience what you described above, in whatever order they may occur, try to remain relaxed and go with it.  See if you are abe to "travel" from room to room.  And don't be alarmed if you happen to see your physical body, or a long, thin silvery 'umbilical' like cord attached to you and your physical self.  Try to remain calm at all times.  Shocks, surprises and fear reactions can cause abrupt re-corporation of the Astral body and the physical body, which can cause physical and emotional discomfort.

By the way, I asked about your age because, these experiences can sometimes by enhanced during adolescent or young adult years.  I'm not sure why.  If this is the case, they may begin to lessen as you get older.

  4. That kind of sounds like you were having an out of body experience. People also hear noises and stuff like that during sleep paralysis.

  5. Oh my gosh, al lI can say is awesome.  If you are 20 you are really in tune with your world, your ego, everything.  You are able to travel through different parallels and be conscious.  GO to the library get some books on Out of Body Experiences and you will learn tricks.  WHen I was younger this happened to me.  I was able to travel to my friends house (in my mind) while laying in bed.  I saw her asleep I saw what she was wearing, everything.  THe next day I woke up and I called her and told her what I had seen and she confirmed exactly what she was wearing and how her room was.  SO if you go and research you will definitely learn tricks to stay in the states that you described and not wake your mind up.  It took me a while but its possible.  But still I am so amazed by you.  You are truly special, and I mean that with all sincerity.

  6. Sounds like an OBE (Out of Body Experience).  You are between wakefulness and sleep.  You are aware of your surroundings, but are are relaxed enough that your subconscious and conscious is quieting.  As for the sounds and proportion...you are moving out of your body.  You see, we do this every time we sleep, but we don't recall it.  You are witnessing this because your consciousness isn't completely put to rest.  There are some aspects that could get uncomfortable...like dizziness.  The buzzing is really loud for me.  To keep from losing it, be an observer of it.  Any processing of it in your mind will draw you away and back to consciousness again.  You're on the right track.  But yeah, based on what you're describing, it's you moving out of your body and opening up to different realms.

  7. The same thing used to happen to me.  It is more common when you wake up in the middle of the night.  I always wanted to find out what that was.  Once, when I was sick, that happened to me and for some reason, I though I was a solider in a war and my bed was the base.  So I started running through the house holding an imaginary gun and fighting imaginary people.  The weird thing was that I knew what was happening at that moment, but didn't know that it was all fake.  I think it is a type of amnesia the arises when you are half awake and half asleep.  It's hard to explain, but it's kinda like a glitch in a video game.
